1.1 Introduction

         In the contest of social discrimination exited in the society, Dalit, women; PVSE (Poor Vulnerable and socially excluded) and marginalized groups have been victimized with different domains of visible and invisible bias. Therefore, people of these groups have been backward and excluded to utilize their rights.  People of these groups such Dalits, women, adolescents, poor, excluded castes and people with disability have been living under discriminatory oppressions for years. Therefore, Dalit Social Development Center Kapilvatu was registered at District Administration Kapilvatu in 2061 (B.S.) in order to organize and aware to those people to advocate for their rights and to fight against their poverty. The organization is committed to uplift Dalits and oppressed society. It is independent and non-profitable social organization.

    For the nation, it’s the prime requirements to fulfill the social, economical, educational issues and ensure dignity of life for oppressed people. The fulfillment of this need is possible only through a balance between the devotional side, which considers external happiness and satisfaction, and the spiritual side, which considers inner happiness, as intermediate. In the context of the need for strong civic organizations to support local people-oriented development initiatives for the welfare of the people and to promote local development efforts, the Government of Nepal is committed to building sustainable development and building a self-reliant Dalit society. The organization aims to build a fully democratic non-violent, egalitarian society based on humanity, cosmopolitanism, non-violence and coexistence, without any discrimination on the basis of gender, caste, caste, untouchability and religion. Therefore, the Constitution of Dalit Social Development Center 2061 is about to be issued for the development of equitable society.

        It is committed that any activities of the proposed organization will not adversely affect the relations between Nepal and any foreign national or international organization and will not jeopardize Nepal’s and foreign policy or disturb Nepal’s integrity, sovereignty, independence and peace and security.

1.2 vision of the organization:   Equitable society free of discrimination 

Introduction of the vision:  End of caste and gender discrimination, women and children have access to local structures resources, People with disabilities and individuals will have used their abilities, people will have independent and dignified lives.

1.3 Mission of the organization: To end all forms of discrimination on the basis of caste, gender, religion, class and community.

 1.4 Goal of the organization:

  • People will have opportunities to live without discrimination.
  • Backward target groups’ people deprived of services will be included in the national mainstream.
  • They will have the capacity to lead an independent and dignified life.
  • The society deprived of economical, social, political and humanitarian development will have access to them in those spheres.
  • Economically poor Dalit women, children and persons with disabilities will have a dignified life with easy access to education, health, employment and decision making.
  • As the need of the organization based of time and situation, the organization’s core value, strategies, and periodic strategic planning will be modified and determined by the working committee. It will be implemented after approval of the general assembly of the organization.

2 Objectives:

1 To conduct remedial preventive and curative health services as well as reproductive health and environmental sanitation programs to provide health and education in rural areas in an accessible way.

2 Raise awareness against caste discrimination, untouchability, social exploitation and superstition and advocate for basic human rights.

3 To run programs that will always support the backward people from the socio-economic education sector

  • To take the lead in income generation and saving work by giving special assistance in agro-forestry and animal husbandry for the economic development of poor families and to protect and promote children, women, persons with disabilities and senior citizens.
  • To give emphasis on gender equality
  • This organization will be a non-profit non-governmental social organization.
  • Economic empowerment of Dalit women, children, persons with disabilities, the poor, the backward classes and the poor. And to conduct programs such as making information centers, publications to literate them.
  • To promote human rights, women and children, social and environmental justice, sustainable agriculture and local tourism
  • To develop co-ordination and co-operation with other national and international organizations with similar objectives and to teach learning from each other’s experience as well as to help build development and prosperous society through inter-religious activities.
  • To help alleviate poverty by organizing groups of Dalit, disabled and extremely poor people in rural and urban areas through income generating programs, skill development training, establishment of micro enterprises ऽ alternative energy promotion and climate adaptation plans.
  • Programs and advocacy for community capacity building to promote democratization, inclusion, participation and good governance in the development process.
  • To conduct public awareness program for safe immigration
  • To operate and promote community health and nutrition programs in collaboration with the concerned government and donor agencies to solve the health and nutrition problems prevailing in the rural areas.
  • Conducting Disaster Preparedness Awareness Programs as well as assisting the government in rescuing victims during disasters. And to work related to environment friendly drinking water and sanitation
  • This organization will not use its power to infringe on the rights of others.
  • If the above-mentioned works need to be done with the concerned body, it will be done only with the permission.
  • No action will be taken against the law and no action will be taken which will adversely affect the national and international organizations as well as social harmony.
